Tadris Biology Study Programme

  1. Programme Educational Purpose

The primary purpose of the Tadris Biology Study Programme is to prepare professional, knowledgeable, and ethically responsible graduates in Biology Education who can contribute to improving the quality of education in madrasahs, develop innovations in Biology Education, and enhance the quality of Biology teaching and learning. Through these contributions, graduates are expected to support the development of a positive and progressive image of madrasahs within the national education system.

  1. Scientific Vision of the Study Programme

“To implement research-based innovative learning that integrates pedagogy, urban environmental biology, Islamic values, Indonesian identity, and technology.”

The scientific vision positions the Tadris Biology Study Programme at the intersection of pedagogy, biological sciences, urban environmental issues, Islamic values, Indonesian context, and technological innovation.

  1. Graduate Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the programme, graduates are expected to demonstrate the following learning outcomes:

A. Knowledge

GLO 1. Biological and Scientific Knowledge

Graduates can apply fundamental concepts of science, mathematics, cell and molecular biology, physiology, genetics, structure and development, biosystematics, evolution, and urban ecology to support innovative Biology teaching and learning.

GLO 2. Integrated Pedagogical Knowledge

Graduates can integrate technological knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, biological content knowledge, and/or Islamic knowledge in Biology teaching and learning in a logical, coherent, and contextually appropriate manner.

 

B. Professional and Intellectual Skills

GLO 1. Digital and AI-Enhanced Learning Design

Graduates can creatively develop and utilise manual and digital learning media, including media supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, to facilitate effective Biology teaching and learning.

GLO 2. Critical Analysis of Educational Issues

Graduates can critically analyse problems and challenges related to Biology teaching and learning in schools and society by drawing on relevant scientific, pedagogical, and contextual evidence.

GLO 3. Scientific Inquiry and Practice

Graduates can systematically apply scientific principles, processes, and practices to investigate biological phenomena and address problems in Biology Education.

GLO 4. Evidence-Based Communication and Decision-Making

Graduates can communicate, justify, and implement decisions on solutions to Biology teaching and learning problems in schools and society, both independently and collaboratively, based on data analysis and evidence.

GLO 5. Environmental Decision-Making

Graduates can make appropriate, responsible, and evidence-informed decisions to address environmental issues at local, national, and global levels.

C. Professional, Social, and Ethical Competence

GLO 1. Professional Responsibility and Collaboration

Graduates can participate actively and take responsibility for assigned tasks in accordance with their professional roles, while demonstrating independence, accountability, and collaborative competence.

GLO 2. Islamic, Moral, and Cultural Values

Graduates are able to apply Islamic, moral, and ethical values in professional and community life while demonstrating respect for cultural and religious diversity.
