Dean's Foreword
Greetings to all academic community members, stakeholders, and all those concerned with the development of the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK) within UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. As part of our ongoing efforts to advance FITK, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, we, as faculty leaders, have developed a series of strategies and critical agendas for the year 2023. These endeavors are not attainable without the strong support of all parties involved. Thus, synergy and collective awareness are the primary keys we hope to realize.
Our central theme is "Integrating Knowledge, Islam, Humanity, and Indonesian Identity to Enhance the International Reputation of FITK, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta." We believe that by combining these aspects and with the support of competent human resources, advanced technology, and various other resources, FITK can become more than just an excellent and competitive faculty but one with an international reputation rooted in research.
Our first agenda is the development of laboratories and scholarly consortiums as the initial step in FITK's expansion. Laboratories will serve as vital means to enhance students' skills and foster relationships with communities at the national and international levels, thereby supporting both academic and non-academic student achievements. We expect this laboratory development to be initiated by the existing study programs or through collaboration between study programs in the same scholarly consortium.
The second agenda focuses on curriculum reform, accreditation, and academic development. Curriculum enhancement will serve as the foundation for improving the quality of our students and graduates to address various changes and dynamics at the national and international levels. We are committed to directing curriculum development toward Competency-Based Learning Models (MBKM) and Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
The third agenda emphasizes students and alumni. We will continue supporting students in various activities inside and outside the classroom to achieve outstanding accomplishments. Our priority is to empower students through various associations and provide adequate facilities. We will also strengthen alumni involvement as examples for new students and as bridges between FITK and the community.
The fourth agenda highlights research, publication, and community service. Research activities will be the primary focus of our faculty to strengthen the scholarly foundation of our study programs and enhance publications and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Collaboration with the industry and other institutions will be one of our strategies to achieve this goal and impact our academic and social communities.
The fifth agenda is the modernization of our facilities and infrastructure. We recognize that the quality of our facilities and infrastructure is crucial to ensure excellent services. This transformation will enable our faculty to support various activities efficiently and effectively.
Lastly, our sixth agenda spotlights collaboration and business development. We acknowledge that funding from various sources, including the private sector, will be critical to FITK's success in achieving our vision and mission as an excellent, competitive, research-based faculty.
We invite all parties to join us on our journey toward achieving all these strategic agendas. With the support and cooperation of everyone, FITK at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta will continue to grow and make more outstanding contributions to society, the nation, and the international community.
Thank you for your attention and support.
Respectfully,
Prof. Siti Nurul Azkiyah, Ph.D.
Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK)
